ATI TEAS Exam

Taking the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills

If you are applying to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program on the Indiana University Bloomington campus and/or the IUPUI campus, you must take the Assessment Technologies Institute’s Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI TEAS) as part of the application process.

This preadmission test, which must be completed by the BSN program application deadline, is a 150-question, 209-minute exam that covers science, math, reading, and English and language usage. Your score on the exam counts for 20 percent of your nursing application admission score.

You may take the exam no more than two times in a two-year period. If you take it twice, the composite score of your second attempt will be used on your nursing application.
