Dr. Marsha Hughes-Gay is a clinical assistant professor of nursing at Indiana University, where she teaches undergraduate courses in the areas of assessment, medical/surgical, and nursing research. She has worked in cardiac catheterization labs, medical/surgical and ICU, and public health. She has served as the chair of the Regional Medical Institutional Review Board and as an advisor to Schneck Medical Center, Seymour, Indiana, on their Evidence Based Practice Committee and their Nurse Residency Program. Her service to the community includes serving as a 4-H leader in Brown County, Indiana. Dr. Hughes-Gay's research focuses on patient information consent issues and health literacy.
