Biography

Thomas Kuhn joined the faculty at the IU School of Nursing, Bloomington campus, as a full-time visiting lecturer in the spring semester of 2015 after having served as a part-time faculty member in community health for seven years. He also served as the director of occupational health and wellness at IU Health (South Central Region) for 17 years. He provided leadership for multiple occupational health and urgent care clinics and served in a clinical role as a nurse practitioner. His professional nursing practice includes pediatrics at Riley Hospital, emergency nursing at Bloomington and Community Hospitals, public health nursing at the Marion County Health Department, employee health nursing at Methodist Hospital and occupational health nursing at multiple hospitals and employers. His master’s degree is from Indiana University in the Adult Nurse Practitioner program. Thomas has special interests in community and population health, occupational health, and health and wellness coaching. He is married with two children.
