Lecturer Jamie Titzer earned her BSN at Indiana University and her MSN in women’s health at Vanderbilt University. She is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Jamie is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and Sigma Theta Tau (Honor Society of Nursing). She has practiced nursing on a Medical-Surgical unit, at a Pediatric clinic, a Gynecology clinic, in surgery, and a Dermatology clinic.
Jamie teaches in the traditional and accelerated nursing tracks. She has taught Fundamentals, Physical Assessment, Med-Surg, and Mental Health clinicals. She continues to teach Pharmacology and Obstetric & Healthy Populations clinicals, and is the coordinator for the Capstone Practicum. Jamie encourages nursing students to strive to master their nursing skills and enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise with them. She serves as the faculty advisor to the Student Nurses Association on the Bloomington campus.
In addition to teaching, Jamie works as a Nurse Practitioner at Midwest Skin Institute in Evansville, Indiana. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is an active member in her church, loves to cook and work out, and enjoys many outdoor activities.
