Educating our future nurses provides a great reward for Jamie Titzer. She earned her BSN at Indiana University and her MSN in women’s health at Vanderbilt University. She is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Jamie is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and Sigma Theta Tau (Honor Society of Nursing). She has practiced nursing on a medical-surgical unit, at a pediatric clinic, a gynecology clinic, and in surgery.
As a visiting lecturer at Indiana University, Jamie teaches the sophomore fundamentals and physical assessment nursing courses, in which the skills in these courses are to be mastered by students to become certified nurses. She also teaches the obstetrics and clinical course that focuses on mother-baby and community. Currently she is teaching pharmacology. She encourages nursing students to strive to master their nursing skills and enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise with them. Jamie serves as the faculty advisor to the Student Nurses Association on the Bloomington campus.
