Lecturer Jamie Titzer earned her BSN at Indiana University and her MSN in women’s health at Vanderbilt University. She is a board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Jamie is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and Sigma Theta Tau (Honor Society of Nursing). She has practiced nursing on a medical-surgical unit, at a pediatric clinic, a gynecology clinic, and in surgery.
Jamie has taught the sophomore fundamentals and physical assessment nursing courses. To become certified nurses, students must master the skills in these courses. She has also taught the obstetrics and clinical course that focuses on mother-baby and community. Additionally, she teaches pharmacology. She encourages nursing students to strive to master their nursing skills and enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise with them. Jamie serves as the faculty advisor to the Student Nurses Association on the Bloomington campus.
In addition to teaching, Jamie works as a Nurse Practitioner at Midwest Skin Institute in Evansville, Indiana. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is an active member in her church, loves to cook and work out, and enjoys many outdoor activities.
