Find scholarships and fellowships to fund your education

If you are an incoming or current undergraduate or graduate IU School of Nursing student, you may apply for one of our scholarships by submitting an application and required essay.

For financial need scholarships, we request a completed FAFSA. Award amounts range from $500 to $10,000 per year, per scholarship. Applications for nursing-specific undergraduate scholarships are open from mid-December to February 1 and again from September 1 to mid-September, unless otherwise noted in the scholarship portal. Applications for nursing-specific graduate student scholarships are open from October 15 to January 15 each year.

How to apply for scholarships

  1. Sign in to the scholarship portal using your IU username and passphrase.
  2. Complete the general scholarship application to be automatically considered for all the scholarship opportunities you’re eligible for.
  3. Find the opportunities you’re looking for by performing a search with keyword nursing or the specific name of the scholarship.
  4. Complete any additional application materials that may be necessary.
